You are responding to an imaginary post.

My view on this is very simple: Arguments rise and fall on their own merits. Period. Full stop. The end.

You've also moved the goal posts here. Your assertion was narrow, and it was not about "expertise" generally. It was about how expertise is acquired:

The Secretary of Education should have attended public schools.

Do you have an opinion on gun control?

    Do you own a gun?

    Have you shot guns?

That seems like the analogy here.

No, the analogy here is that I, as someone who doesn't like guns and has shot one once, should probably not be put in charge of an arsenal of guns.

If you said,: @YankeeFan, the doodad that you put here needs to go there to make the coffee machine work again, and you were right and he was wrong ... why would his experience matter?

Arguments rise and fall on their own merits.

I would presume that his experience and expertise would mean he wouldn't put the part in the wrong place.

    Where's Sessions going with this?

Did he say they are "rescinding" DACA?

He's right that it would not stand up, as DAPA didn't.

    Ah, ok... a "wind down."

Almost sounded like it was going to be immediate.

@poindexter, we've had a fourth person recommend this thread on Facebook!

(Every time I see this, I have to double check to make sure it wasn't me.)

You know what? The more time goes by, the more I support something like this.

Not licensure, per se. But why can't there be a "certified expert" credential similar to ASE or PMP?

That has the potential to cut through a lot of the bullshit.

You put it in the wrong place one time, and they never let you forget it.
