The day that plane went down was the day I first brought my then-future ex-wife to Tennessee to meet my parents. I'm not saying it was an omen, but I'm not saying it wasn't either.

I fly Frontier every now and again after it dawned on me that all airlines suck, all airlines have uncomfortable seats, and all airlines are late arriving and departing...so I might as well save $100 or so per flight!

Re: Spirit. My one experience with them was probably about 12 or 13 years ago. I haven't flown them since. They lost a bag on a simple flight from Indianapolis to New York. Worse, they kept me in limbo for several days, saying they had it, but not giving me any info about where it was or why they couldn't get it into my possession. I have never been that frustrated with an airline.

Flew it twice. Found it amazingly good both times. Seriously.

I pack very light and that probably made for a better experience. I'll double up clothing usually and wear my heaviest clothing on the plane.

Do you get a seat on Spirit or just grab a leather strap hanging from the ceiling?

    Well, hell.

    About this post of mine:

As soon as I read this....

....I realized it's Allegiant that I fly and love, not Frontier. #brainfart

So much for flying Spirit -- the family trip was washed out because of Irma. And my trip is just over their change-with-no-fee cutoff, which is more limited than that offered by the other carriers, so I'm screwed.
