I'm trying to wrap my head around this one. Liberals are upset that black people are too successful at football? That's a new one.

Somehow the message has gotten out that having zero tolerance for any infraction is what we should strive for. Every jaywalker? Lock 'em up!! Every car missing a front license plate? Handcuff 'em and lock 'em up!!!

If you think this through intelligently, you'd realize that there's no way our society, let alone our law enforcement agencies, are equipped to enforce every infraction or violation of the law.

There needs to be a balancing. We have limited resources, use them judiciously.

Do we scour the shelters in the midst of a hurricane looking for warrant violations? Or should those guys be helping others displaced?

This ridiculous "law and order" mentality leads to the misallocation of resources and emboldens law enforcement to just act ruthlessly without regard for basic laws and humanity.

They don't *really* want strict enforcement. They'll be the first ones to yell bloody murder when they get a ticket for 69 in a 65.

"Rules are rules" is the lampshade they put over turning the screws on certain people
