Part of me wonders if Joe Buck keeps such a great job because:

    1. He'll work tirelessly.

    2. It's a pain in the ass to make a big change and explain the change and then hope the new person is better and wait for the inevitable Joe-Buck-is-hurt pieces from media wonks, etc.

In other words, a kind of corporate apathy.

At this point, I don't think America is generally on Joe Buck's side. I'm not. Further, I think America had left Chris Berman's side quite some time ago, and it took years for him to exit stage left.

It's a consistent quality in media.

    She criticized all Trump voters:

That's not responsive to my question.

Don't agree with you there. I think most people - even on the left - expect that their strong opinions are left at the door when one enters the media. The fact the media is so willing to give up its objectivity to be a little more relevant does not reflect well in the long run. It seems counter-intuitive, but the media's willingness to hate on one side or the other is part of the problem. The institution isn't holding its end of the bargain.

Hill fucked up. I'll be curious if she can admit as much. She gave away a boring, easy-to-give opinion on Twitter instead of channeling that energy into something more subtle on her show.

I think it should be controversial.

I just don't really think it is.

These are the times we live in. Have a take, the more outlandish the better.

On the left - you see it in discussions here - there is virtually nothing you can attribute to Trump that is considered to be unsupported.

Maybe it's better in the long run to know that the majority of journalists aren't what they claimed to be for so long.

Wasn't it the transgender tweet that did him in?
