Disparage the thread for what it devolved into, not the goodness of why it began.

This wouldn't have happened if the politics thread was still open.

No, dumbass, "quoting your sentence completely and accurately" doesn't suffice.

What are you talking about? Clearly it's better to let this stuff seep into other threads so the people who actively avoid the politics discussion can get a taste of the acrimony.

I can't tell if that Fenway sign is pro-racism or anti-baseball.
I imagine Hill had previously torched her "journalist" card, but this kind of seals it. And the tough thing she will learn is that while opinionistas are well-paid when they have a show at Fox, ESPN, MSNBC there are only about 20 jobs on TV that allow you call out the President and get away with it. See Glenn Beck, Ed Schultz, Bill O'Reilly, Keith Olbermann...the cable world has kept spinning just fine without them. It's called broadcasting, trying to reach the widest audience possible.
It's kind of hard to pull back from calling the President a white supremacist and then go back to focusing on sports.

Whatever. As long as you understand that when I suggested "ESPN could fire her!!" your response was "I would assume he's one of those people who pay her salary. She can tell him to pound sand, of course ... but he gets to have his say."

ah, you're reading around my response, I think, and not at it. She has a privileged job. I didn't say it was a privilege to have a job, et cetera
