There's no such thing as a privileged job. If you want to discuss the fact that some jobs carrying more responsibility than others because they have more public impact, maybe we should be talking about President Trump's tweets vs. Hill's?

If there's no politics, then whack this one, whack the "original" one, and whack the other ones too. And a one strike and out policy from now on.

Speaking of the politics thread, WH just announced that the country's leading white supremacist is making a deal with Pelosi and Schumer to protect 'dreamers.' Trump is getting primaried. If there's a place to talk about related matters in 2019, that will be fun.

Forgot the best part. The deal doesn't include a wall.

There's a lot of vacant lots out there where partners thought they had a deal with Trump to build a skyscraper. He could change his mind tomorrow. He could have changed it already.
FWIW, Charlie's description of both the Phoenix and the Herald, where I also worked, was lovely and 100 percent accurate. The thing I'm proudest of about my career, I never worked anywhere considered the respectable paper.

C'mon. Didn't we decide that paraphrasing is ok with the Rush Limbaugh/Hurricane Irma comments?

My favorite posters are those who duck into a thread just to wring their hands about how bad it is.

Oh I logged in for the first time this week. Like three days ago maybe? I genuinely avoided this place for like six months and it was pretty refreshing. I would love to discuss journalism, as I remain a journalism junkie, but this one is too toxic.
