Just read a couple of things that suggest he'll stay at receiver. Can't imagine he'd be able to beat out Johnson.

Wow. Wright was the kid who had the concussion and fought with the coaches toward the end of the season. He also was the one whose girlfriend miscarried.

 

Oh, shit. That's terrible. I was pulling for the kid to get his shit together.

And the older brother who was also charged appeared in this season, too.

Finally found something that this kid actually saw through to the end.

 

I was rooting for the kid, too. I found him very likeable. I had actually looked to see how he did in his first game at West Georgia, then found he wasn't on the roster.

Makes you wonder ... so Evil Coach Buddy was pretty down on the kid by the end of that season. Perhaps he was seeing some things in/about the kid that make this latest not quite so surprising.

I agree with doc that Wright was a likeable kid, and his brothers were, too. He was kind of the Ronald Ollie of the second season with the focus on his nonexistent home life growing up. Sad to see this.

Wright did make the most of his last chance.

 

Perhaps the concussions led to CTE, which led to the violence.
