As soon as I saw him on, I thought "they know he makes a living trolling ESPN, don't they?" My first reaction was like Chef2 alluded to earlier. I thought he said "booze." I'm imagining the producer screaming in her ear "he said what?"

As juvenile as it was, I have to wonder if this is his "Chrissie Evret" moment that gets him a platform. Or did he just jump off it?

I suspect the big loser in all this will be for the person who booked him on the segment.

Lady was in a no-lose situation. She rises above it ... well, Travis was an asshole and she was the bigger person. She gets offended and indignant ... well, Travis was an asshole.

I want to be careful, but...

What if she'd have ripped open her blouse?

She could have been worldwide famous and run for President...

Yep, and I've no problem with that.
This wasn't a porn site. This was a grown up conversation about the First Amendment and the rights/obligations of corporations and journalism.
She didn't overreact. He was on there for one reason, to get a rise by saying a word he learned in kindergarten and to draw attention to himself.

I wasn't saying he was appropriate or that she overreacted.

I'm making a connection between a bubbling coarseness in culture and many billions of hours of porn.

I appreciate that it's an uncomfortable connection for most because it suggests a limit on liberty of private behavior, which Americans tend to exalt. But it isn't for me. There are too many scumbags on social media, talk radio and the like for me to just say "Clay Travis is in kindergarten."
