Wacha throws 6 scoreless with 8 strikeouts without a walk. Should've been it, let him hit the showers with confidence.

Instead they trot him out for the 7th and he gives up 5 earned.

As I wrote last night ... Wacha went 6 scoreless with 8 strikeouts. Should've been a night for him. Instead, they trot him out in the 7th and he gives up 5 straight hits to start the inning and is pulled after giving up 5 earned runs without registering an out. That fucked things up.

But Rich Hill gave the Hippies 7 innings and 10 strikeouts last night.

This is also a particularly hard time of year to manage a fantasy baseball team with all the September call ups and teams being eliminated.

Like Baltimore for example. They are giving lots of young players a lot of looks this week, including Sisco. I think one of you has One L Welington Castillo.

Another frustrating thing is hurt players are often NOT put on the DL, so you can't move them to your DL slots on your roster.

I used to cuss a lot during this time of year. You really have to be on your toes daily.

The Hippies and I are both plucking as many players as possible from the waiver wire, such as extra catchers in case our starters get the day off Sunday, which happens quite a bit.

I've brought in 4-5 starting pitchers this week to rack up as many K's as possible. C.C. Straily gave me wins Monday.

Today could be make or break day. It's an off day for several teams. I didn't add any 1-day guys because I can't afford to give up any more talent. The Hippies have a full hitting roster today.

    I'm one short.

Not having two relievers today hurts.

You are two short of a full hitting roster, plus one not starting today but available to pinch hit.

    We play on.

Your pickup, Gardner, just homered off my pickup, Faria.

My guy, Judge, followed with a homer off Faria.
