Remember when the Cardinals were eliminated the second week of the season?

Cubs put it in Cards ass by winning the Central Wednesday night in STL.
Cubs put it deeper in Cards ass by eliminating them from WC on a helluva catch.

No offense to you, my good man, but "shut up" would win 90 percent of the vote here. :)

I read somewhere that they were going after Donaldson, which might be a great addition at a more reasonable price tag.

Carpenter is also a concern. He recently admitted that he played the entire season with a shoulder injury. He seems to be trying to avoid surgery and hope that rest and rehab can fix the problem.

In the most fitting possible farewell, Matt Cain throws five shutout innings, then the Giants' bullpen immediately gives up the lead in the sixth and he gets a no-decision.

If you're interested in one of baseball's ultimate curiosities, Andrew Romine of the Tigers is in the midst of playing all nine positions against the Twins. Crossed off all the outfield spots in the first three frames.
