What was the ribs chain that had the rather large fried onion ring LOAFs? (Loaves?)

Tony Roma's being mentioned triggered that question, but I might be mixing chains up.

Bobby Rubino's has the onion loaf, too.

You're right ... almost every time I see a Pizza Hut, it's either delivery only or combo'd with WingStreet in a shopping mall.

Last time I ate in one was in the 1990s.

I think dine in Pizza Hut is basically reserved for kids' athletic teams and birthday parties anymore

Someone should invent the Poin Hut.

If I'm hungry enough to ignore the consequences, sometimes I'll hit the Pizza Hut lunch buffet and pig out.

Ha - I did this last week, yeah. I like filling up on (cheap) pizza for $5.99 early in the afternoon, and then do a really light dinner, for nights I'm exercising.

Mrs. Huggy, Huggy Jr. and I ate in the Pizza Hut across from our hotel in lovely Smith's Falls, Ont. while in the area for a baseball tournament in July. Hit the spot.

With Your Place around, Pizza Hut always comes in a distant second when I think about lunch buffets.

And Pizza Hut pissed me off when they got rid of their flavor swirls and specialty crusts. Just like they pissed me off when they got rid of the Priazzo 20 or so years ago. They can't leave a good idea alone.

It's been more like 30 years. I know because my dad's been complaining about the same thing for most of my life.

Remember the P'Zone though? It always amazed me how much they fucked up something that should have been an easy slam dunk.

I'm not a big ricotta fan. But the one they made with a spinach/ricotta filling was pretty quality stuff.

McDonald's is another place that gives you something good, then takes it away quickly. The Cheddar Melt with the onions, white cheddar and whole-wheat roll is the prime example there. They'd wheel it out for 2-3 months, then pull it for a year or two.
