I totally get why going after @YankeeFan helps soothe the day's wounds ...

Have you ever been to Dealey Plaza? It's tiny.

Perhaps the definition should be expanded. Because the people on the ground certainly seemed to be experiencing "terror" as automatic rifle fire rained down on them.

I'm sure YF will tell us the shooter's motive shortly, and he'll of course denounce the media for being too politically correct to report it.

Who is the aggrieved party here? I'm not sure what you're getting at. Am I to feel ISIS has gotten a bad rap?

People who die in a fire or a car wreck undoubtedly experience terror as well. That's not what terrorism is.

I've stayed at Mandalay Bay 3-4 times and I don't recall ever having a balcony but maybe some of the more high-end rooms have them?

Who's defending anything. This is horrific, and indefensible.

My only point was that like in previous incidents, we had reports of multiple gunmen and automatic weapons. As in most other cases, the reports of multiple shooters proved wrong, and until I see some reporting that he had a fully automatic weapon, I'm going to withhold judgement.

I've seen reports that he set up two "shooting platforms". If so, he may have been firing two weapons simultaneously,

I'm not even sure what we're arguing about here. Semantics of a word, I suppose.

Were a large amount of people terrified? Okay then, it was terrorism.

Doc is probably right. He likely just shot out the window.

YF, you have seen the video, right? That's automatic weapon fire. Semi-auto has a slight pause between rounds as you pull the trigger for each round. There is no pause between rounds. And, shooting two rifles at the same time? Come on, man.
