The NRA membership trick won't work. It would take them approximately two days to make a new organization and disown the old one. The AARP is already considered too liberal in many circles.

 

There are already organizations - Gun Owners of America - that think the NRA is too soft. Others that figure the NRA is mostly a tool of the manufacturers.

 

Replace "Trump" with "Obama" and I'm pretty sure we could find a thread where those on the right wrote that exact same sentence a year ago.
Just pointing out that it's kind of funny in a "the more things change, the more they stay the same" kinda way.

 

Yes. If you pretend that all moral frameworks are equivalent and reduce things to the point of absurdity, they start to look vaguely similar. I'm not sure why someone would want to do that, though.
