A state-run militia? Maybe. But, hell, I'm 50 next year so while I might be a pretty good shot, I doubt they'd need me. So I'd take a few that have special meaning to me and bury them - just because I wouldn't want them scrapped.

By the way, it does not necessarily follow that if "Dickie's repeal and [replace] happens" that @Inky_Wretch will have to do a damn thing with a single one of his guns.

So everyone will be stocking up before that happens?

Let's say that the Second Amendment is repealed this afternoon, by close of business.

What is your understanding of what that would mean?

    1. How the hell is anybody going to find anything I bury a couple of feet deep in the middle of my private property unless I tell them exactly where it is? Good luck searching 980 acres of the Ozarks and being successful.

    2. Yeah, it sucks. I hate it too. But being a hardliner just creates more hardliners on the other side. Maybe that's where y'all need to be, given the NRA's stance for the past few decades. But I still think there's room for compromise between those of us who own firearms and don't have a problem with stricter regulations.

No one will be buying any more guns legally.

In other states the regulations already are a bit stricter.

Yes, but they aren't "BANNED" strict.

Can you direct me to the provision in the Bill of Rights that protects your right to own that phone?

They’ve been against in favor of gun control Dick. This isn’t new.

And, of course they are. They would obviously prefer to not worry about someone being armed at every traffic stop or domestic violence call.

Plus, they’ve got guns, that would not be taken away.
