A couple things.

I just used your words. Rinse, repeat and wait. It's going to happen again. Nothing is going to change. Nothing changed after 20 first graders were murdered and 58 people attending a country music concert hasn't elicit anything more than thoughts and prayers and it's too soon to talk about gun control from those who can do anything about it.

I said US modern history not world. And it's not some kind of record to be proud of. Or cheer is broken. But with weapons of war in the hands of sick fucks it's going fall time after time.

 

Vegas shooter has a high KPM (kills per minute). But his guns were on steroids, and he might just be a product of his era.

I read the NYT profile this weekend. It was interesting, but not revelatory, which was kind of the point.

 

It's the first such atrocity I can remember where it's still a working mystery a week later. Nothing about the guy fits and no explanation has emerged.

 

We're never gonna get a definitive answer (or anything close to it) ...
