President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Trump knows how to con people who should know better. That doesn't mean he has the intelligence to handle his current position properly.

 

YF knows Trump is an idiot, but for now, Trump is a useful idiot. If you're more interested in trolling than governing, Trump is perfect. He has zero shame, no ethics, and he infuriates liberals. That's good enough for now. The Breitbart Era of governance and policy making has less to do with accomplishments than it does gleefully pissing off all the smug hypocrites. That's what's fun. People who don't believe in government don't care if it doesn't work. They might as well use it to troll their enemies.

If America survives Trump (and it seems likely we will) watch what will happen: Liberals will actually be blamed for Trump.

His military service? Yeah, OK, sure. But since then, he's a spineless empty suit whose only goal is to eventually be POTUS.

Trump can at least say, forever and ever, that he was president. I can't imagine why anyone—Pence, his White House toadies, his civilian supporters—would live with having licked his boots. I understand why Trump's done what he's done. It's the other people I can't understand.

 

It's not like he's blindly supporting Trump's policies.

Trump has signed onto Cotton's policies. Given that, how is he spineless?

 

Trump won't outlive his presidency by very long.

 

I'm not sure you would recognize what blind support of Trump's policies looks like, but you should. You need only look in a mirror.
