I liked how the next to last full shot they showed (no. 420) was just a little high....

 

It would have been even better if he would have holed the very first one.

 

That was fun to see his progression through the day, from confident pro doing a quick video shoot at the beginning, to getting invested in the challenge, to getting frustrated at just how difficult this really is, to a completely broken man by the end. I was rooting for him by the end, especially after he dunked that early one and it got spit back out by the flag stick.

 

They skewed the odds here. HIO for a pro are 2,500 to 1 . Assume that's for a round of golf, where they have one I shot at what 4, par 3s.
This was 500 shots at the same pin from roughly the same distance.
I said his odds were considerably less than 2,500 to 1.

And who the hell paid for that? No way I am spending the day hitting 500 balls at a pin.

Heck, I'm sorry I spent 5 minutes watching that. No offense.

 

I figured, from the title and set-up, the guy actually holed a shot, or even something wild like two in a row. And then, after No. 420, I was thinking: OK, maybe he nails it on his final shot. Or maybe he then gives it one final try and gets it on 501.

I wonder how many shots he put within 6 inches of the hole.

 

European Tour's social media stuff is so so soooooo much better than the PGA Tour. Like "Tiger was better than Phil over the course of their careers" better.
