I doubt this particular duck and weave is sincere, but it went well beyond that. He complained that we can't keep first responders, military and emergency workers "down there forever" (of course we can't, his complaints come off like a bored toddler saying the car ride lasts forever) whereas he was telling Texas that he would be with them "for every day thereafter."

Because he and his supporters are raging racists.

It's the fact that Trump and multiple members of his party criticized Obama endlessly for playing golf, and then Trump has played more rounds of golf in 10 months than Obama did in years.

 

The hypocrisy is the point. Trump's appeal is white power dick-swinging. Doing the same stuff they ripped you for and feeling untouchable is how they get their rocks off.
