Love what they did to start the season. A typical show probably would have dragged out that over a couple episodes, or worse, the whole second season.

No spoilers, but I just don't know how long they can play riff off of what they are doing. Maybe 4 seasons at best?

Given how in-demand Bell and Danson always are, it wouldn't surprise me if they already have an end planned for the show.

Anyone watch any new Curb Your Enthusiasm episodes? I watched the first one. Seemed like they were too busy being so happy to see each other again to tell a good story. I think the best ones are when Larry organically falls into things. This one it seems like he was seeking out things to cause trouble. I laughed a couple times, but the story seemed forced. Like for some reason he just decided he was in love with the sound of the word fatwa, so they included it way too many times. And the ending was idiotic.

I've seen that complaint here and there, but to me, Curb was always so exaggerated, so the new season hasn't bothered me as much. Even if it's a B- or B+ to me so far, it's still so different from most everything else on TV that I enjoy it. And it looks like Crandall is on next week's episode.

Didn't watch This Is Us last night but I understand Jack is still alive? Holy shit, that thread is played out. At this point I hope he dies from something truly arbitrary (but of course he won't). They are dragging that shit out way too long and it's tiresome. They should have showed how he died in the season premiere, at latest. They are enjoying the ratings now, but string viewers along too long -- especially with this lame enticement -- and you're screwing the entire run of the show. #killjacknow

I'm just fine with the story arc, because the show is so damned good. I think it's beginning to crystallize about how he meets his end, anyway.

Anyone else watching Season 2 of "Designated Survivor?" Seems to be concentrating on the politics of the office plus the recurring story line of the continuing investigation.

Personally, anything that keeps it around the Oval Office and away from the FBI investigator is fine by me. I find that part very boring.

Damn, I watch too much prime-time TV.

I like the show - very much a poor-man's West Wing. I understand the show is on it's fourth show runner already and they're phasing out the conspiracy stuff, (which is good because it seemed the FBI could only spare one agent on the case), and some of the plot turns were very unconvincing. The show could really use some flashbacks to better ground the show and explain how Kirkman ended up in DC. Don't think they every explained why he was going to be replaced in the cabinet. He could use a couple of mentors, are his parents still alive? What happened to their son?

I have the season on DVR but haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Wife and I were both kind of left flat after the way the last season ended.

And, I got annoyed as the show went on that Kirkman started acting more and more like President Jack Bauer.
