The matter will never be put to bed because people benefit greatly by pushing that divide.

There is no divide anymore. The election is over. HRC and Bernie both lost and neither will be the candidate next time around. To me, it seems we’re already in far better position to find someone who is electable.

A greatest hits package worthy of Colombia House or BMG.

Who are the "people who are angry" and who are the everybodies "who are asking" ,,, other than the voice or voices in his head telling him to tweet like crazy to try to create distractions from the Russia probe?

There are kindergartners all over the country who are better at this than he is.

I thought the people who actually bought his ridiculous bullshit to elect him were just getting what America has sowed. Even with the economic discontent that was responsible for him winning, really, without the other party putting up the most unlikeable, disingenuous candidate imaginable, he could have never squeaked through in an election that can only be characterized as "vomit vs. dung. Take your pick."

At this point, barring the democrats finding someone to nominate with child molestation or serial killer allegations hanging over their head (which I wouldn't put past them), is there any way this douchebag isn't going to be a one-term candidate (if he lasts that long?)?

What is remarkable is the extent to which the political establishment (for lack of a better term) and ordinary voters simply discount Trump's tweets as "he's just talking out of his ass again while watching TV." If any other President ever had proposed criminal prosecution of opponents, the country would've gone completely apeshit. Now it's like, "so what nutty thing did he say this morning?" In some respects, it's like he's not even President at all.

Yeah, but $28 trillion of that is overpriced stuff in the Bay Area.

I was just going to mention that Trump is four years of a slap in the face, which is maybe a better thing to wake everyone up than four/eight more years of Clinton/investigations/Benghazi/emails!

You'd think not. But that financial meltdown you insist is coming sure would help about now.

You are more confident of this re:Bern than I am.

Didn't Trump claim to have one of the world's greatest memories just the other day?

I was pretty confident HRC would win, too, so don't take my predictions too seriously. But I will personally refuse to support old, leftist screechers, including Bernie and Elizabeth Warren, because they can be easily marginalized and scare off middle-class families and working people. Our candidate should be a young (er than me), pragmatic progressive who can appeal to a wide audience, including the flyover states. A Jason Kander type would work for me.

Yep. If the best the Democrats can do is a 79 year old Socialist lightweight, God help us.
