Even The Wolf likely can't clean up Harvey Weinstein's pending troubles

Is there even one accusation against Schneider by a victim? The RedState piece had "rumors," a third-hand statement from a anonymous source and an anonymous online statement that they claim might have possibly come from another celebrity.

I certainly agree that some of those shows crossed lines and it is certainly worth investigation, but perhaps the guy should actually be accused before we convict him of being a predator?

I don't feel like posting links, but my lord, google and youtube searches on Schneider reveal it quite startling how long (going back years and years) tales of his pedophiliac ways have been known, all while he remained as powerful and influential as ever. That Red State story might've been news to us, but it was just reciting things already long well-known to many others. And, yeah, apparently he's been notorious for inserting not-thinly-veiled sexuality and his personal fetishes into his kid shows for just as long.

And before the oop assault commences, I'm just recapping what the internet told me. Take it up with them, not me. Maybe the internet has no hard evidence either, but jeez, when there's this much smoke surrounding one guy, I'm gonna guess there's a fire.

Doesn’t there have to be some sort of statute of limitations on boorish and even harassing behavior? Not rape, not molestation or behavior like being forced to watch a guy jerk off over breakfast. But Dustin Hoffman ogling some girl 30 years ago should not be brought up now.

 

We shouldn’t have to use this disclaimer when conversing with normal people, but just so everyone knows, we don’t have the power to convict people of anything by typing our thoughts on an Internet message board.

Netflix Axes Spacey From ‘House Of Cards’; MRC Says He’s “Suspended” – Update

Netflix released a statement that it will not be involved with any further production of House of Cards with Kevin Spacey. So far, production on Season 6 was stopped and Spacey was suspended by Media Rights Capital. Just thought I should post this as I was one of the ones who claimed that the previous decision by Netflix and MRC to cancel the series after the current season in production was fairly meaningless.

 

Somebody related to my wife through marriage was the story editor for Homeland, but left for a job on House of Cards because she thought it would last a season or two longer. Whoops. I haven’t talked to her, but I imagine she’s not a huge Spacey fan right now.

 

HoC has been running on fumes for a while. The original British version was done after 12 eps (and even then seemed kind of stretched out).

 

That was why the initial announcement that it would end after season six was dismissed as meaningless. That seemed likely to happen before any accusations were made against Spacey.
