You know - since everyone is frustrated by Congressional inaction if a non-profit group searched public records and put together a data base of adjudicated domestic, child or animal abusers, cross-referenced with concealed carry permits (I know they shouldn't have them, but mistakes happen), perhaps a law enforcement or security certification and other available public info and then checked twitter feeds/social media for gun references to see if they had access or interest in guns and just "put it out there...." I'm fairly certain Congress would get on the stick and do something.
I imagine this is something newspapers might do if they didn't have any advertisers who sold guns.
