SJ.com amnesty, or, the dumbest thing you've ever posted here

God, I wouldn't know where to begin. I have a life-long compulsion to call out assholes when, a lot of times, because of that compulsion or otherwise, I'm the one who is actually being the bigger asshole.

That said, I'd probably seek amnesty for a lot of the attempts to play off my own perceived persona that ended up being taken seriously here and are part of my board legacy. There are a significant percentage of posters here who still believe that I:

• Think Scottie Pippen played on Arkansas' national championship team;
• Tried to earnestly convince people that "prominent posters" were PM'ing me for my courage in speaking out about some long-forgotten banal baseball matter;
• Really meant that I would make a poster cry with my surgical debate skills.

And on and on.

That blue font is your friend, but it always felt like cheating to me.

In hindsight, I'd employ the damn blue font.

Oh, and I wouldn't have gone after Riptide so hard about Jim Boeheim. I thought we were just talking shop. But that little exchange ended up triggering the single most destructive and long-running unhealthy relationship I've had here.

I regret going after you for that post every chance I got. Most of the time it was in jest, but beating that dead horse was probably only funny to me. I have a special knack for annoying large groups of people while entertaining myself.
