You're allegedly a smart guy. Do you realize that you're arguing the right and wrong of what he did -- which is kind of like preaching to the choir, whether you get that or not -- and Dick is arguing about the faulty reporting of the story?

I have thought about this issue a lot lately, and it has occurred to me that under certain standards, a single president or prime minister could never go on a date with anyone, ever again.

You never know what an editor's motivation is. And I'm not saying this is what happened during the process of the story being written and edited.

Dick's complaints with the reporting, by his own statements, are based on a bad definition of consent

    I get it.

You're saying we can't assume the reporter fucked up.

    Maybe the editor fucked up.

So you acknowledge consent can be given and then taken away.

    I’ll take it.

LOL (not at you) but is a girl you're dating who writes in her diary every day "within the industry" ? Who's to say she doesn't want to BE a writer?

The question can never be truly answered.

They could date other world leaders. Could be good for trade relations, or start a war. Ya know, like all relationships.
