To me, a bit of an analogy to what CK has done here is to basically unexpectedly ask people to watch a disgusting porn video right then and there, but it's not a video - it's real life, right there. In front of them.

How he got his mind so twisted up to think that is ok, or even funny (even by my standards), is a huge failure on his part. He should have comprehended that not only was it morally wrong, insulting and assaulting, but it wasn't even a sane nor safe act that could lead to his ultimate undoing.

Another thing: he's been doing this during his adult years, and in the age of the Internet, with easy cellphone photography and videography that could have easily captured him unaware. This almost sounds like some cliffhanger, tightrope thrill seeking stunt.

And it's not like a teenager exploring situations or frat house douchebaggery. He's been doing it as an adult, but I wonder if it traces back to some much earlier event in his life.

I see his defense today was to claim the stories are all true. It will be interesting to see how that goes over. It's a different approach, that's for sure, but I'm not sure it helps. Honesty is refreshing. But the sickness of this. I don't see an immediate pass being given by the majority of folks just because he was honest. That's going to take time and a lot of it.
