They might have been able to choke it down or they still might be here. Remember two things: McConnell didn't want Moore in the first place. He's not going to vote as he's told, he's going to be somewhere between far right Freedom Caucus and the Roy Moore party. Also, if he gets seated as a Republican, the R's are going to get beat up over his pedophile past. A lot.

Remember too that Roy seems incapable of not saying things that are even dumber than Trump's worst moments.

It's pretty obvious McConnell hates Moore a great deal. Who knows? Might even be on moral grounds.

How different would our society be if Twitter was available beginning in the 1950s?

Moral grounds? He was backing a former Attorney General who obstructed justice as a quid pro quo to get the seat.

McConnell's problem with Moore is that McConnell is dealing with a very slim majority and needs reliable votes, and Moore was an unreliable vote *before* McConnell backed his opponent. Moore hates McConnell as much as the turtle hates him.

Roy Moore needs to pull a full Sideshow Bob and decry a lax system that allows perverts like Roy Moore to run loose on the streets.

It's the YF sliding scale of evidence. All sources are trustworthy if he likes the story, but the strictest standards must be maintained if he doesn't.

He wants that story to be true, therefore he has no standards at all regarding the source.

It's YF. Grasping at straws, just because?
