This is some serious alternate universe bullshit right here.

I have said from the very beginning that all accusations should be treated as credible. Which, to normal people, means something slightly different than throwing out the Constitution and scrapping the entire American justice system.

Forget about the Constitution. It is not infallible and it can be amended. I want to know what you think is preferable.

I think everyone deserves due process, and have never “advocated” for anything else.

What about in the court of public opinion?

Isn’t all the talk about the “default” so much grandstanding if people aren’t willing to at the very least reduce the burden of proof in these cases?

It seems easy to me to announce boldly that the “accuser is to be believed” when that position carries absolutely no possible consequences.

I have no control over “the court of public opinion.” Nor do I want any.

You believed Patrick Kane’s accuser. How would you have approached the case if you were on that jury?

The United States justice system is also set up with the awareness that there will be some false convictions.

There is no system that prevents such a possibility

Is if you get caught in the supposed two percent and lose your job, reputation, and maybe some other things, like your family relationships... collateral damage for the cause?

It’s just the court of public opinion, right?
