2 percent false accusations. Most are easily ferreted out.

Do you think we need try sex cases? Why should we?

A cancelled lacrosse season is pretty light for ruined life, but sure, I'll allow it.

Yes, I saw that and was puzzled by it as well. Nevertheless, you've got quite the ... is it a non-sequitur? a false choice? ... in that last sentence. That's not the tradeoff that's in play. The tradeoff is between men (predominantly) who would be punished wrongfully and women (predominantly) who would not have their assailants punished.

What a weird and nonsensical line of questioning

The fact that you think the lost lacrosse season was the only cost in that case speaks volumes.

The fact that you had to go back 11 years and feel that it outweighs what women have been going through also speaks volumes.

Treating accusers as credible leads to the Duke lacrosse team being suspended for a season.

Treating accusations as some unknowable schroedinger's box leads to Tom Sizemore continuing to work after sticking his finger inside an 11 year old girl.

If someone wants to propose a third way that can eliminate both options or lead to less bad overall options, I'm open to hearing it.

Bernard Baran. Served only 11 years. Was ultimately (somewhat) vindicated. No biggie.

And now can you tell me if you think we should or should not try sex crime cases?

Peggy McMartin Buckey. Acquitted after a three-year trial. Piece of cake.

I don't see a compelling reason to indulge your ... peculiarities

It’s a “yes” or “no” question.
