Pass the cranberry sauce, we’re having mashed potatoes!

Beets suck ass, another food my daughter is always trying to slip me.

I love corn and peas, like green beans and broccoli. Tomatoes are a favorite (fruit or vegetable?). Carrots, raw and cooked. Squash, in all forms.

I don't hate cauliflower. I just don't much like it. Brussels sprouts were sent to us from the devil and I will not be dissuaded.

You know, I've answered my own question from earlier on how to lose weight. I'll go on the Brussels sprouts diet. Since I won't eat them, I'll lose weight.

A few weeks ago, I was doing a little bit of pre-class shopping at a Dollar Tree (I had an activity that called for crayons). Walking out with my $4.32 worth of booty, I looked across and saw ... a CiCi’s Pizza.

Now I know, I know ... CiCi’s? But I swear, all I could think about was strolling in there and eating every damned thing they had out on the counter. Everything. With a salad.

I really think, in that moment, I was feeling a bit like, say, alcoholics feel. Because the urge was OVERPOWERING. I got past it. But it was a dicey thing.

I had cauliflower last night! A rather boring-ass dinner. But the #bloodsugar score was 118 so I have that going for me!

Of course, CiCi's is one of my favorite spots. A nice selection of eats for a reasonable price.

My favorite -- Honey BBQ Chicken

I will eat peas, but I tend to avoid them. It's totally a texture thing. Unless they're cooked at a level most consider undercooked, they're too squishy for me.

My biggest problem with the final two months of the year is my killer sweet tooth. Leftover Halloween candy. Pumpkin pie (and/or apple pie) at Thanksgiving. Christmas cookies. So hard to resist!

The traditional Thanksgiving meal isn't too bad health-wise if you don't go overboard on the mashed potatoes and stuffing. I try to eat sweet potatoes and green bean casserole instead. My weakness is my wife's cranberry recipe ... boiling whole cranberries (pop! pop! pop!) in a sweet sauce. It's perfect paired with turkey, even slathered on a leftover turkey sandwich.

CiCi's is shit. There must be no good pizzerias there.

I'll mark you down as a maybe, then.

What's your favorite pizza place, so I can shit all over it?

Definitely not CiCi's, Dominos or Pizza Hut. If I said there was good bbq chicken at KFC I'd expect you to shit all over it.

C'mon, dude, I need a name. I can't artfully crap all over your favorite spot without a legitimate name.

I bet you like those places that use only the menses of Tuscan peasant women, topped with toe cheese from Sicilian longshoremen. Authenticity seems to be important to pizza snobs.
