Jesus H. Christ, he’d buried his son. That alone is enough to destroy some people.

That's how I've always viewed your politics.

I actually like, and usually agree with, your takes -- despite my vote for Trump.

    Sure, of course it is.

Though, Joe used it as a means of floating a trial balloon with Maureen Dowd. Let's not pretend that didn't happen. Let's not pretend he didn't seriously consider running.

He's expressed regret that he didn't run.

So, why didn't he? Because of his son?

Look, Joe Biden is a guy who lost his wife and daughter while he was a Senator elect. That didn't derail his political career, nor did his young sons' injuries.

But, his grown son's death, which was expected, caused him to not run for President, though it was the son's dying wish, and and Biden's greatest aspiration?

There's another reason. And, there's no doubt that Hillary's campaign compiled opposition research on Joe, right? No one would deny that.

So, what did Hillary's campaign have on Joe?

One thing I also find notable is number of names on signature block. I suspect many of them are career employees, and probably would be resistant to signing a complaint they found to be politically motivated. Just speculation on my part, but jumped out to me. (Contrasts with a recent cert petition from the Solcitor General’s office, which was widely criticized and notably was not signed by any career attorneys—just the political appointees.)

    We'll see.

Don't be surprised when it comes out that multiple woman accuse him of harassing and/or assaulting them.

John Conyers and Charlie Rose just went down today.

Joe's clearly grabby in public. You think it's inconceivable that he's also grabby in private? Maybe a little more grabby?

    Tragedy doesn't inoculate people.

I think in the current climate, Biden's handsiness would disqualify him from the nomination, if not his age. But it's not like this wasn't known - people joked about it playing into his "Uncle Joe" persona. Besides, if Trump is still around at that point his indiscretions may provide a shield of sorts for Biden the way Bill Clinton did for him in 2016. At any rate, it's possible that Biden has a track record for inappropriate behavior and was genuinely too depressed to lay the groundwork for a presidential run. Now, if something worse comes out, that's another discussion.

As for John Conyers, he needs to go and it's a genuine knock on the Democrats that no one has called for his job yet. If it matters at all, I'm with you there.
