What I'd like to have right now is for all you high-rollin' wrestling fans sweathogs, keep the noise down while I take my robe off and give the ladies a good look at the sexiest man alive.

"Oh, oh, that's right, I forgot. You stupid Americans only speak one language. And even that, you can't even speak correct."

This reminds me, did anyone manage to see the new documentary about Ted Dibiase? It's called "The Price of Fame" and looked really interesting. I think it's got a strong Christian/religious bent to it, but that's at the core of his story. It details his life journey from wrestler to minister, and dives into Ted Jr. as well. The latter quit wrestling because he just didn't want to do it any more and is now working with a number of charitable organizations.
There was a one-night-only special showing a few weeks ago, and was kind of bummed I didn't realize that and missed it. Not sure when it's coming out on digital or DVD.

Dibiase's story has always intrigued me. He's kind of the anti-Flair, in how he got swept up in living the gimmick but was able to do a complete 180 and turn back from it.

Yeah, I didn't see it. I did read a book he wrote a few years back which essentially was the same story, about how he was cheating on his wife and living a wild lifestyle, but she forgave him and he became a born-again Christian who speaks at churches and other groups. The E did a video on Ted Jr. a while back showing him running a summer camp for poor kids. It was pretty good.

One funny story DiBiase told about his wife in the book was how Vince would give him money to spend so he could live the gimmick. But he said he would always be careful about spending too much so Vince wouldn't think he was taking advantage of him. He was working a program with Piper where they would do a spot where Virgil would always interfere, Piper would stop him, knock him down, then take the money Virgil was holding and hand out the $100s to fans in the crowd.

So one time, DiBiase's wife was traveling with him and sitting ringside, so he decided to have some fun and asked Piper if he was willing, during the spot, to give all the money to Ted's wife. Piper agreed and did so. After the match was over, he found his wife and expected her to be amused. Instead, she was standing there with her clothes torn because she said fans were trying to battle her for the money. She warned him not do it again.

Some old-school vibe at tonight's Starcade house show. Dustin Rhodes dropped the gold to be "The Natural," and Arn Anderson gave a spinebuster to Ziggler.

Considering they're in Knoxville, that steel chair needs a Vote for Jacobs sticker on it, and he should come out to Rocky Top.
