It has always struck me that Pelosi and McConnell are very much alike. Both are effective legislative leaders of their respective caucuses and horrendous public spokespeople for their parties. It is likely that their shared skill also contributes to their shared weakness.

 

Would he be an icon if the press had covered him honestly for all of these years?
