Okay, maybe this will be fun.

I'd like to nominate @Slacker's post on the second page of the RIP Ron Howard's dad thread.* I'd quote it, but you kind of have to read the whole thread. You'll know it when you get to it.

    *Also, RIP Ron Howard's dad.

My favourite was courtesy of Boom, on the thread discussing how Glen Rice nailed then-TV sports reporter Sarah Palin when he was in a tournament in Alaska. I’m paraphrasing, but it went something like:

“In the end, Sarah went back to Todd, disproving one of our most trusted societal beliefs.”

    Does posting silly gifs count?

    Outstanding idea.

I’ll dig through some of my posts later.

Got it in my head the motivation(s) behind this thread are, shall we say, less than sincere. Nevertheless, in the wake of Weinergate the First, which the poster Mark_McGuire had steadfastly maintained was all a right-wing-conspiracy creation, said poster faced his cup of hemlock rather gallantly: "I'm not here to talk about the past."

Does "In before the lock" count?

I am totally bummed that this thread could or would be taken as less than sincere. I saw @Slacker's post, laughed my ass off, wondered if I'd ever laughed that hard here before, and started this thread, because I'm sure I've forgotten some great lines and I thought it could be fun. I can't see how it could be taken badly. But here we are. Man. Okay.

The only time I ever cried laughing from something on this board:

The infamous boots started a thread asking how to breach the topic of body odor with a female co-worker. Not 30 seconds after the thread was created, a poster by the name of Zeke responded:

"You could fuck her in the ass."

You'd have to know boots and his history to get the full context, but it is still pretty funny without it.

Remarkable how when someone spends a good chunk of his time here calling people names and trying to run them down personally that it might affect how posters process his contributions.

I'm a "likes" compiler with no single defining line. :(
