I am? I say something completely reasonable and logical and YF acts like somehow it's not up to whatever standards he has? Somebody whose idea of an argument is "I know you are but what am I?" lectures me on intellectual honesty?
I don't take kindly to that.

Wow. Where did that come from? I don't think I know who Type is in real life but unless he is Kareem Abdul Jabber I can't imagine wanting his autograph (no offense Type but I have never asked for one in my life and I doubt I will start at 55 with the possible exception being Kareem).

Let me try something...you don't sound like a happy person, I really hope that you can find peace. It seems as if Type has something in his life that you feel is missing in yours. I honestly hope that you can find what you are missing because you seem to hurt. I will keep you in my thoughts, good luck.

Oh, who am I kidding, fuck you asshole.

    Well, sure, but I didn't -- and wouldn't -- use it as a slur.

I also wouldn't use the word "retard" as a slur, but I'm not sure that I would sub in "the R-word" in its place if I were to use it in a discussion.

I'm also confused as when and where it we need to self censor the word.

Prominent publications print it. Here are some recent examples. Should they have treated it differently? What's the standard:

If the Supreme Court is serious about reducing the impact of racial prejudice in capital cases—and two recent decisions suggest it is—the justices will halt the pending execution of a Georgia man and grant him a new trial. At stake in the case of Keith Tharpe is not the question of his guilt or innocence. At stake is the proposition that no black person should be condemned to death by a white juror who proudly boasts after sentencing that he voted to impose capital punishment because the defendant was a “nigger.”

Why Keith Tharpe's Georgia Execution Must Be Stoped

And on the walls were pictures of all the presidents, of the past. Now, I'm not sure if this is true, but to my knowledge the first black person that was officially invited to the White House was Frederick Douglass. They stopped him at the gates. Abraham Lincoln had to walk out himself and escort Frederick Douglass into the White House, and it didn't happen again, as far as I know, until Roosevelt was president. Roosevelt was president, he had a black guy over and got so much flack from the media that he literally said, "I will never have a nigger in this house again.'

The word nigger has died a natural death, and nigga was the silver bullet that killed it! High-five, y'all!

Kanye Proves 'Ni**er' Is as Painful as Ever

For Trump, it almost seems that the fact of Obama, the fact of a black president, insulted him personally. The insult intensified when Obama and Seth Meyers publicly humiliated him at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2011. But the bloody heirloom ensures the last laugh. Replacing Obama is not enough—Trump has made the negation of Obama’s legacy the foundation of his own. And this too is whiteness. “Race is an idea, not a fact,” the historian Nell Irvin Painter has written, and essential to the construct of a “white race” is the idea of not being a nigger. Before Barack Obama, niggers could be manufactured out of Sister Souljahs, Willie Hortons, and Dusky Sallys. But Donald Trump arrived in the wake of something more potent—an entire nigger presidency with nigger health care, nigger climate accords, and nigger justice reform, all of which could be targeted for destruction or redemption, thus reifying the idea of being white. Trump truly is something new—the first president whose entire political existence hinges on the fact of a black president. And so it will not suffice to say that Trump is a white man like all the others who rose to become president. He must be called by his rightful honorific—America’s first white president.

“Now I’m sure there will be many people who’ll challenge that, but my response and my request is look at the detail, it isn’t all doom and gloom,” Morris said Monday in London. “Now we get to the real nigger in the woodpile, which is, in two years what happens if there is no deal?”

I just think you like that he tries to bully people in lieu of actual debate. (With often hilarious results.) Some people are attracted to that. Helped Trump get elected.

    Five examples. Let's see:

    Quote.

    Quote.

    Black writer, censored headline.

Black writer (who has made a very good case why African-Americans can use that word and whites can't).

    Quote.

You weren't quoting, and you're white. Try harder.

Fair enough. I just actually enjoy how he turns a phrase at times. Plus he nailed Yank on his phony pleading ignorance shtick. Whatever. And I don't actually think you are an asshole so I apologize for that comment.
