This is dumb even for you. Democrats will vote Democratic, in an effort to capture the Senate seat. Republicans who like Moore will vote for him. Republicans who are unable to stomach voting for the child molester that their party nominated have the option to vote against Moore without voting for a Democrat and having that horror on their conscience. Easy peasey.

Or they can join hands with Democrats and elect Doug Jones. That works too.
