Random admissions

I've been served medium rare wings at BWW on three occasions. Hard pass. If I have a choice of chain wings, it's Wild Wing Cafe.

 

There are too many wing joints with similar names. Buffalo Wild Wings. Wings and Rings, Wingstop, knock off names... It's becoming a Ray's, Original Ray's, Famous Original Ray's situation.

 

Thought the same when talking with a buddy yesterday. He couldn't remember the last time he went to Arby's. I only go when visiting relatives because it's that and McD's in their town. Been to Buffalo Wild Wings a few times and it's always been packed.

 

Went to Arby's last night for dinner. Hadn't been in a couple months, and they have remodeled the place. Threw me off. Food was as good as always, though, even if the drink machine was in the wrong spot.

 

Last year I went to Arby's in NYC (8th Av, I think) for a quick snack. First time I had Arby's in maybe 20 years. It didn't suck but it wasn't really even pedestrian either. Just sort of blah.

 

I like ketchup, tomato soup, and tomato juice, but can't stand tomatoes.

 

Their Jamocha shakes are great. Back in high school, we used to get them at lunch and mix with brandy or rum. End of junior year, driver's ed was the only class after lunch. Teacher was a cop and said he didn't care if we had our lunch in class as long as we cleaned up and nobody told the principal that he would smoke cigs in class.

Myself and George Brett wholeheartedly agree with this.

 

Few things are more annoying to me than chain faux 'sports' bars.
The very concept behind BWW is anathema to me.
Plus, I love wings and their wings are not good.

 

Slight threadjack: Anyone else not impressed by the "choose from 70 flavors" Coke machines? (the Wendy's in our area has one).

If you go with "Coca-Cola Original Taste," it's fine, but if you try Cherry Coke or one of the other exotic flavors, it tastes weird.

Having work fast food a long time ago, I wonder how the cartons of syrup hook up to the new machine. Probably way too complicated for the teenage help!

 

Half the fun of going to a place that has one of those machines is watching people try to figure out how to use it. Then, watching the newbie employee try to change the carton of syrup.
