Wow. Half a billion dollars. So much for all that talk about declining TV ratings depressing rights fees and leading to a revenue crisis.

Braves hammered by MLB. Lose 13 prospects, including 17-year-old shortstop Kevin Maitan, who had been compared to Miguel Cabrera and Miguel Sano. Former GM Jon Coppolella banned for life.

What's MLB got against people whose names end in a vowel?

Very surprised how little movement there's been so far. I mean, I know everybody's waiting on the Otani and Stanton situations to sort themselves out, but damn, somebody make a trade or something ...

By this time last year, we already had the Brian McCann and Jean Segura/Taijuan Walker trades.

Tomorrow is the non-tender deadline, so maybe we'll have a few smaller deals by then.

Boston is evidently pursuing Jose Abreu, which'd put them out of the Stanton Derby.

To be fair, if you convert those $250 million into San Francisco dollars ( SFD), he only costs like $250.

Few details right now but Sportsnet fired Gregg Zaun from his role as analyst on Blue Jays games over "allegations of inappropriate behaviour in the workplace." Zaun was one of the best parts of Jays' TV games, able to explain the game and not afraid to call players out, a trait not often found in a situation where the team and channel are owned by the same company.
