Orrin Hatch says that due to deficits, we can no longer afford Children's Health Insurance Program (annual cost $9 billion). Of course, he's all for the tax bill.
Sen. John Cornyn on Joint Tax Committee analysis: "It's pretty obvious they're wrong."
They're just horrible people who deserve horrible fates all the way down.

I’m really coming around on the idea that all these fuckers are doing this on purpose.

There’s no way they’re ALL this mind-numbingly stupid.

My wife and I have talked about this, and it drives her nuts. She's Canadian, so there's that to factor in..

These people are in power and they DGAF.

Party over country, power over country and fuck anyone hard who doesn't like it.

    It's THEIR time.

As always, yes. They take their cues from Trump, who has a mental illness that causes him to feel a thrill of power when he gets away with a blatant lie or hypocrisy. This is not hyperbole, simply the literal truth about his mental illness.

    From 30 Rock:

Jack: Those jokes you wrote for my Mitt Romney fundraiser, they were top-notch.
Liz: Those weren’t jokes! That was an appeal for a return to common sense and decency.
Jack: Well, they got big laughs.

What happens when Trump is out of office?

What becomes of the Republicans after the shit hits the fan? And it will. No blaming the last guy in office.

Has the ship sailed, or do we find a more reasonable path moving forward? The two party system dead? Moore 2020?

I'm loaded up on meds from a procedure so I gots questions, no answers. Going to lay down for a bit. Carry on.

He’s not under contract with CNN.

Maybe he could take over for Matt Lauer.

"You're not taking money from government, you're just leaving it with the people who earned it."

From a talking head dude on Todd's MSNBC show defending the tax bill.

I'm turning off the TV now.
