I don't know if the WWE would be as affected by that as other entertainment companies, just because so many of the stories have already been out there for years and are accepted as part of the fabric -- the appeal, even -- of the industry. Vince McMahon has even been sued a few times for it, most notably by Sable IIRC. If someone comes forward with a shocking revelation that Ric Flair groped her in 1992, how do you even respond to that with a straight face? Hogan has already gone through a sex scandal that effectively destroyed his career and reputation, so how much more is there to pursue with him?
Plus, I might be wrong on this, but I think the roster does a pretty good job of policing itself if something crosses the line. There's so many tales of schoolyard justice and backstage brawls that I wonder how long it would really take for the men to bring the hammer down on somebody who was genuinely acting like a creep toward the women.

Flair already has plenty of admitted scandals that have been out there. He mentioned in the documentary how he exposed himself to Sting on a plane, but allegedly, he's done that to flight attendants as well. He also allegedly has had incidents in bars.

Vince was accused of rape by Rita (Marie) Chatterton, who was a female referee (yes, it was kinda strange seeing her try to keep order with 300-pound muscleheads) for the company in the 1980s. She made her accusation on a Geraldo Rivera show in the early 1990s. Vince and Co. sued her, but they eventually dropped the case to concentrate on steroid case against the feds.

The E. already did survive the one major sex harassment scandal in the early 1990s with Terry Garvin and Mel Phillips, although it did hurt the company financially (combined with a downturn in the business, and the aforementioned steroid scandal), and they've survived other incidents (Owen Hart's death, multiple wrestlers dying, Chris Benoit).

Times are different, nowadays, though. It'd be quite interesting to see what would happen. I think Cena would be the biggest shock, and probably would hurt the company the most, if some harassment allegations were ever made against him.

It's borderline incredible Vince hasn't gone down already but I thonk somehow the carny mentality that protects the business helps.

Some of the stories on Prichards show, if told in the wrong context, could look real bad in this climate.

Yeah, I guess Cena didn't have much loyalty towards the car, or respect for Ford either.

He gave up on that car pretty quickly. So much for "Never give up."

And with Jeff out with injury for now, the immortal words shall be spoken:

Brother Nero. I knew you'd come!

A bit, but the E also has another group doing their music.

This is a guy that certainly deserves a spot in the Hall.

Absolutely he does, but if it was not a mutual split that small chance becomes even smaller.

Always thought Johnston and Steve Lombardi were two of the major unsung hero/backstage types who deserve to be in the Hall.
