Donald Trump has a mental illness that causes him to say and believe whatever seems like it will cast him in the best light at any particular moment, no more or less.

 

That's not why.

 

It's OK to be emotional. I will note emotion doesn't mean you're wrong. To take overemotional statements as disqualifying an argument is wrong.

 

Do you take the time to rewrite these in your own words or do you just copy-and-past them straight from the talking points e-mails?

With coronated presidential nominees, electoral college fuzzy math, cloak-and-dagger Senate votes and gerrymandering, I'm beginning to think the endless referendums aren't such a bad idea.

About that... I've seen both "pled" and "pleaded" in common legal usage in court decisions, pleadings, memos and briefs (I'm a non-practicing lawyer and I've worked as a legal journalist for 2 decades -- full time for 6 years and as a regular freelancer on top of my day job for the past 15).
