Saw this in Westword,

That reads almost like an Onion profile.

"Area Woman Happy to Keep Her Job For Now."

 

Is The Rocky Mountain News still a tabloid?

 

Were there layoffs in recent days at another DFM property?

 

I don't know. I know DFM has been a seller recently.

I don't see the Los Angles or San Francisco clusters. How much local content is still being produced at those two properties? My sense, based upon very little factual data, would be that the Los Angles group is really hurting. It is my guess that the Northern California group would be doing better. But this is based upon a few random observations.

 

Seriously don't know. Maybe the paper tanked? Used to work there part time in sports in 89-90, was an excellent tabloid paper back then. I don't follow the newspaper biz too closely lately.

 

Do the Times Herald next.

It's in Dallas.

 

I think the NY Post is the best to read, just an all around good, diverse, entertaining read, visually pleasing. But the fact that it loses millions every year is pathetic.
