    One of my favorite things in golf is the post-win pics of the golfer with the girl who is definitely trying to wife dat life but never ended up closing the deal and now is captured forever in that moment. Rick is the clubhouse leader with at least three, but Rory had two before Erica. Koepka gaining ground fast if he doesn't wife this most recent one.

    At one of the majors last year, the television announcer misidentified the girlfriend of the winner by naming the prior girlfriend, then quickly had to correct himself. Sergio's maybe?

    That was Koepka at the U.S. Open. One of the all-time announcer gaffes.

    Yup, that was Joe Buck and Koepka. Mentioned the name of Koepka's old girlfriend. Jim Nantz would have never made that mistake! He knows every relationship!

    The leader in the clubhouse was, and will always be, Bob Costas misidentifying Michael Jordan's wife for his mother in the locker room after the Bulls' first NBA championship.

    Costas, when corrected, was sharp on his feet, claiming that he misidentified because the "champagne got in my eyes".

    Not exactly the same, but recent personal experience:

    We're at my son's basketball game yesterday, 8-9 year old division. There is a single black kid in the game. He has long hair in braids, just like his dad sitting a couple rows in front of us, at most 10 feet.

    My loud mom:

    "DICK, IS THAT A GIRL?"

    I know his girlfriend on the left is Olin Browne's daughter.
    His girl on the right is Alexis Randock.......same one he won The Players with.

    That's very true, Nantz wouldn't have made that mistake. I remember talking to a friend about exactly that at the time. Joe Buck's not on Tour every week or in Tour circles like Nantz, so going into that kind of detail can really bite you if you're not completely looped in. Just say "his girlfriend" and no one's making a peep.
