The problem with any and all speculation about Mueller and his actions is we don't know what he knows. Maybe he got Flynn for all he could get him on. Maybe Flynn spilled so many beans that he got a slap on the wrist for something worse. But we don't know. We have to wait to find out the answer, but in the instant information age that's difficult to handle. It's why CFB fans and sports writers make asses of themselves during coach searches. And it's why people are making fools of themselves now trying to definitively state what Mueller has or doesn't have on various Trumpers.

The belief that such people were there is Nazi propaganda. Believing it and repeating it is Nazi apologism, which is what the President was doing.

This is the time-tested Fascist PR technique. Tie yourself to a slightly more palatable cause and convince your apologists and sympathizers that they aren't *really* fascists even as they fight for you.

Probably. But he said what he said.

I don't believe any of the people quoted here are English professors:

"I’m confident Flynn is singing like a bird to Mueller."

Bharara's take is interesting, but note that he listed a lot of possibilities, many of which are still very bad for the people under investigation.

And what he said was white nationalist apologism.

I've definitely read that book. I have to be a little cryptic, but mine is more about sports.

He listed three possibilities, and ranked “deal of the century” as the least likely.

He also pointed out that it would be odd to not keep the guilty plea under seal if there was the potential for more charges.
