    Roy Moore will be elected. Which is fine, because he will be McConnell’s albatross (and therefore Trump’s as well). As I said before, the Dems can’t really lose here.

    They will wear that albatross like it's a Gold Medal. Don't fool yourself into thinking this will hurt the GOP or the Party of Trump (which aren't the same).

    They’re going to put up a fight every step of the way, and try to rig as much as they can, but we still do have elections and their base is shrinking. The GOP because of Trump is about as unpopular as it has ever been.

    1. An unpopular President leading an unpopular party doing unpopular things is at risk in the next election.
    2. A wouldn't bet a plugged nickel on either Moore or Jones. No outcome would surprise me within about a 20 point spread.

    I lean towards Jones because I think special elections are especially prone to the enthusiasm gap right now. But agreed, no result either way would surprise me .
