Binge Worthy? Netflix/Amazon Prime

Appreciate the heads up on Ozark, whoever it was that said that (I think a few of you). What a tremendous show. And OMFG that season finale. Had a couple "OH SHIT!" moments.

 

I've been watching Ripper Street and just wen through the second season of Frontier.

I can't say that I'd recommend either one too highly, although there's lots of Redcoat killing in Frontier. Pretty much they've been placeholder series until I get sucked into a better one.

 

"Dark" has completely absorbed me. German series involving missing kids, mysterious people, etc. The default on Netflix is a dubbed English version but I recommend the original German with English subtitles. Really loving the music too.

 

Two episodes into 'Stranger Things.'
It's interesting, but the way it was lauded I guess I was expecting more.
I'm not sure about more of what, but my expectations were high.

 

I had the same reaction. I liked it and watched both seasons, but I have to admit it was more from a nostalgia standpoint (set in the 80s) than it was a story standpoint. The story kinda lost me at times because I wasn't really invested in it.

 

Godless anybody?

 

Godless for sure. Some great casting, counterintuitive.

Three episodes in. Pretty strong. Good old fash... it's good to see a Western.

 

Looking forward to that series, too. No spoilers!

 

Turn is a good AMC series on Netflix.
Season 4 just dropped.

 

I'm so looking forward to Jean Claude Van Johnson.

 

Yes. Finished episode 4 (or 5) last night, but I need to watch it again. Better than Ripper Street, for sure.

 

I get why the critics ticked Ozark for being too derivative, but who cares? It's engaging and a good watch. Really liked Godless, too. I forgot how much I like traditional westerns.
