    Nicely done.

Have always thought that Stones quadfecta was the poster child for this exercise, although as time goes by (pun intended), I seem to think Exile has a lot of clunker fillers in it (I'm sure I'll get roasted for that statement).

Zep's 6 album string is pretty damn impressive when you hold them up against everyone else.

One I think you left off: REM with Lifes Rich Pageant, Document and Green. My all time fave back to back to back.

Good call with REM--meant to include them.

Exile might be my favorite of that Stones' run, although I can also see why others might not like that one, and it probably has the fewest hits out of any of those four.

Good threadjack here about three great albums in a row ... I'll have to get back to this when I have more time, and can flip through my collection of Rush LPs ... ;)

I'm not the biggest U2 fan, but no, they are not overrated. They had great songs from their early albums through Achtung Baby. Unforgettable Fire is one of the first LPs I bought myself, and I wore out side one because every song kicked ass.

Bono is a great frontman with a strong voice (OK, a bit pretentious off stage). The unique sound of The Edge's guitar — just listen to the opening of "Pride (In the Name of Love)" — is what first lured me to the band. And the rhythm section remains solid, as shown on their recent SNL appearance (not sure about the megaphone, though).

    KISS: Kiss—Hotter Than Hell—Dressed to Kill—Destroyer.

Some might argue that Hotter Than Hell breaks the chain, but I've always loved how muddy it sounds, and Goin' Blind might be their best song.

Can’t stand KISS, although the movie Role Models is hilarious and underrated.

I was obsessed with The Doors in high school. Drifted away from them for years. Started listening again recently and was surprised how much I still liked them. There's really no other band like them. And if you liked them at one point, you'll probably always like them.

Morrison sucks up all the publicity and it overshadows just how great Manzarek and Krieger are as musicians.
