The steakhouses and pizza places are great.

The places that the yuppies eat at serve baby food.

I haven't used that word since I was a kid and demanded "heaping" tablespoons of Nestle's Quik chocolate mix in my milk. That was the word they used on the container.

    Eat, Donnie, eat. Enjoy yourself.

In the meantime, I'll agree Tillerson hasn't been a deep negative in the plus-minus column in this administration. But that's because you hardly ever hear from him.

My wife and I got a deep dish pizza to go at Lou Malnati's a couple summers ago. An absolute monster of a thunderstorm erupted when we got there. Rain that this southern californian hadn't seen in decades.
The rain was much more memorable than the pizza.

If I could describe that deep dish pizza in one word, it'd be: "Why?" as in, why so much?

What, you mean the guy makes the pizza with his back turned to the pizza and still turns out a virtuoso pizza!?

    Lest you scoff at Styx.

There's a restaurant in Chatham on Cape Cod called Pate's. 1950s decor and a menu to match. Pours the stiffest drink in town, too. So one night I'm eating at the bar because I was alone and an elderly lady sitting at a table in the same room got a little dizzy and fell off her chair. Paramedics arrived maybe 30 seconds later. After they took her off to the hospital to be checked out (she seemed OK but shaken) I expressed surprise to the bartender that the ambulance had arrived so quickly.
Her response was, "well, they know the way. We ARE a steakhouse."

Not sure I am getting it. because we are from so cal?

I am super glad I tried the deep dish. But like the time i did the polar bear swim in the ocean, or drank a bottle of the Ballast Point Habanero Pepper beer, I'm not sure I ever need to do it again.
