I humbly submit the following 3.
This may be just the old radio in me, but I loved when these 3 came up on the sheet.

(I love cold openings like that)

When I first gained possession of an electric guitar and tiny practice amp, this was the intro I had to learn right away:

I Need A Lover by John Cougar, as he was then known.

I'm told the start to Christopher Cross' "Ride Like the Wind" is pretty good, but I cannot tell as deejays ALWAYS talked over it.

The CD player tower we used had digital countdowns til lyrics started.
That all but eliminated running through the post.

I'm not sure it can get any better than "Welcome to the Jungle."

Very cool intro. That and Paradise City.
Too bad I despise every possible thing about Guns N Roses.

The first minute or so of Metallica's "The House That Jack Built" is tremendous.
The song itself is pretty dark and depressing, but I always thought the first 1:20 was perfect for introducing lineups at a ballgame. It builds to a crescendo, has a pretty awesome lyric, and is appropriately sinister and badass while drawing you into this dark journey you're about to take.

    This is awesome:

And no self respecting air drummer can resist the start of "Rock and Roll" by Zeppelin

"Hell's Bells" by AC/DC comes to mind.
