I think the more likely outcome is that people would have turned against Saban.

I guess that depends on which side of the political aisle one sits.

The entire idea that one can be "not racist" is at best enabling the problem of racism. It shows a profound misunderstanding of the problem.

We live in a racist society. We were all shaped by it from the moment we were born. It's something we have all internalized to varying degrees. Pretending that racism is a binary that we can corner off to the backwater parts of the south and the midwest is simply wrong.

Trump, in particular, seems to have internalized it pretty hard, though.

One of the anti-Moore groups has an ad out telling Republicans who find Moore distasteful to write in for Saban.

Does Saban even know there's an election?

If they're being meanies about it, are they objective?

Well, yes, because of sin, I agree.

That is to say, every society all over the world is racist to some degree.

Meanies? What the hell does that mean? He eats what he eats. Should they not put it in because it makes him look bad? Maybe to some people it makes him look good. You can't accuse them of shaming him unless some part of you believes his diet is shameful.

They are reporting undisputed statements of fact.

If you want to know what real shaming looks like, watch that Hannity clip.

"Slathered" is an interesting word to use in a factual description.

The sentence about dinner is a liberal virtue signal. It is, and that's OK. It just didn't escape the attention of mildly aware people.

Well-done steak, I'd have to figure, is healthier than the rare version. The "well-done" is there to critique how he likes his steak. It offers no window into his character, his decision making, nothing, other than, fuck him, he doesn't know how to eat a steak.

Let's omit true things from stories that will leave conservatives feeling judged by nebulous audiences, I guess.
