Someone posted that last night’s show was heartbreaking. Did I snooze through something heartbreaking while watching a padded 90-minute episode of not resolving anything?

The Saviors are as dumb as Rick for letting the leaders live.

    Thank you!

For two weeks, AMC has been teasing something "SHOCKING!" and that shocking event would have everyone talking about it after the show was over. The Walking Dead writers need to watch Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Ozark, etc. to see what shocking really means.

Not to be too spoilery, but I feel that the final scene is a big Glenn moment. And watching Talking Dead afterwards confirmed my suspicions. I'm just not buying it.

This season has one big botched situation after another. From the monosyllabic garbage people being absolute idiots to the Saviors being inept, this "All Out War" was about as fun to watch as the Browns playing the 49ers.

There are interviews with the actor involved where he says the next episode is his last and his character is going to die and discusses getting the "death talk" with the showrunner. This isn't a Glenn moment.

Don’t get me started on the garbage people.

He's done for. Interviews that were released last night with Chandler Riggs made it clear. Here's one:

I think the show completely over estimated how beloved Carl was. I guess if I rewatched the episode where Carl rescued the random dude I might get a clue as to when he got bit, but I just am hard pressed to believe he randomly got bit without us noticing. Carl's death would have been more meaningful if it came earlier in the show's run. Weirdly Carl's best moment came because he was dying. If we got that Coral earlier maybe I'd be more affected.

And the damn villain monologuing. Just kill someone already.

It is definitely more interesting due to the potential impact of his death on Rick and Michonne than the loss of the actual character. I am a little surprised because I thought we'd get more of his relationship with Negan, who does seem to genuinely like Carl.

But does it compare to the loss of Glenn? Not even close.

I hear some people have wanted Carl to die for many years...I mean, not me. Because that would be an awful thing to root for... but you know, people.

OK, it was me! But I'm not alone. Just never liked the actor that much. Also didn't like the actress who played Lori Grimes. CORAL!!!!!!

As for the episode and season.... same as before I don't DISLIKE it. But there's not much juice left. I think it's renewed through next season. But that should be the last. Finish with a flurry.

One of the podcasts I listen to has a great point about the garbage people. And I think most people share this problem. It's been, what, only a few years since the Zombie apocalypse, so how does a group of people devolve into a bunch of one-word morons who CHOOSE to live in a trash pile? Or did all the fucking morons happen upon this palace and say "Look, other people like us, this will be our home."

The garbage people is just one problem TWD has right now, but it's a pretty big problem. At least you could somewhat buy the Kingdom with Ezekiel "rising" to power. But garbage people who sit around in the nude and sculpt? Dumb as dogshit.

Killing off Carl, to me, seems like the first step toward going a totally different direction than the graphic novels and ending the series.

I don't read the books, but it's pretty common knowledge that Carl is the leader and Rick is an old man, right? There eventually has to be a split so they can end the series.

I know the TV show doesn't 100 percent follow the books, but a lot of material is pulled from them. Hopefully killing Carl means the have an end game in mind.

And yeah, the garbage people suck.

Still wouldn't mind seeing that horny dorky leader of the garbage people lady try to get it on with Rick.

Is it just me or is the cinematography so damn dark that you can't see what the hell's going on 3/4's of the time
